Utah Desert Residence

Located within the desert landscape of Utah, this residence was conceived as a sanctuary. The vastness and silence of the surrounding environment create natural conditions for reflection, stillness, and presence. The project responds to this context by offering the clients a place of retreat away from the intensity of urban life.

The architecture establishes a continuous dialogue with the desert. Floor-to-ceiling openings frame the landscape and allow natural light to move through the interior throughout the day. Light-toned concrete surfaces are paired with warm wood to create a balance between solidity and warmth.

The spatial organization encourages calm and contemplation. Sand gardens, sculptural elements, and carefully framed exterior views form part of the experience of moving through the house. Each space supports regulation, rest, and mental clarity, allowing the residence to function as an environment for recovery and balance.
